Fall is almost here…..that means TREATS!

Okay, okay I know fall isn’t until at least 2 more months but still, I am super excited for the nice cold weather and pea coats! But the best part is the baking,treats, and family time as the holidays roll in. I have found on pinterest so many amazing goodies for fall treats and I plan on doing a lot of baking videos this fall. Here are some adorable ideas that look so delicious and fun to make! Chewy coconut cookies recipe! LOW FAT/LOW CAL

We have been on a big coconut craze lately. So here is a recipe for a yummy chewy coconut cookie.

Ingredients

  •                     1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  •                     1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  •                     1/4 teaspoon salt
  •                     1/2 cup butter
  •                     1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  •                     1/2 cup white sugar
  •                     1 egg
  •                     1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  •                     1 1/3 cups flaked coconut

Directions

  1.                     Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C.) Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  2.                     In a medium bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Gradually blend in the flour mixture, then mix in the coconut. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart.
  3.                     Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly toasted. Cool on wire racks.

How to: Sock bun!

This trend is huge right now…and it is all over Pinterest which is where I found this picture. It’s a really easy and simple way to make the sock bun. I tried doing it and didn’t work well lol because my hair is like above my shoulders and too thin it didn’t work. But if you have medium to thick hair it should work well for you.

Easy chicken noodle soup

 

Everyone loves chicken noodle soup, it’s soothing to the soul some say. It’s the perfect pick me up when you are sick and a great snack if you want something light. This is a really simple and easy recipe that my sister makes and I love it. I usually just make this in a big crock pot so it will last for a week and it is so yummy. Image from google.com

April’s Chicken Noodle Soup

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Chicken stock & veggy stock
  • chopped carrots
  • onions
  • celery
  • rotisserie chicken
  • salt
  • pepper
  • bay leaf
  • Whole wheat egg noodles

DIRECTIONS:

Take a pan or a crock pot and throw all ingredients together and pour in the chicken and veggy stock and mix everything together. Start to cook on medium heat for 35 minutes and the last 10 minutes throw in the egg noodles. Then eat up! That simple!
